If you remember from the shop, the book had a dust jacket. This was what Biff used to cover his magazine and would have been identical to the actual front cover of the Almanac. The Almanac would still have had it's original paper cover on.

It's a damn dust cover

The book has a dust cover, hence, the cover of the book is the paper back which is underneath the dust cover which is identical to the dust cover jacket.

Did anyone read the original nitpick?

Why was this nitpick refuted? None of the comments even have anything to do with it! The nitter is not saying that the dust jacket never existed, s/he's saying that it was thrown away and later reappears on the book when Marty burns it. \r

\rI quote:\rit is taken to the head master's office and subsequently discarded\r. . . \rtowards the end of the movie when Marty burns the Almanac. . . the cover has magically appeared on it\r

\rIt is unfortunate that this will only be reinstated if the original nitter asks for an appeal, because it's a perfectly reasonable nitpick.
