Nitpick Description

Submitted by Nitpicker : 27326
Series : Star Trek
Episode : The City on the Edge of Forever
Nitpick Category : Technological Fact
Nitpick Number : 584
Approximate time of nitpick : 2/3 of the way through
Summary : The city that is on the edge of forever is Mayberry!
Details : When Kirk and the woman are walking around town talking, they pass right in front of "Floyd's Barber shop" (very clearly painted on the window). This is in fact the same "Floyd's Barber Shop" that is on the Andy Griffith Show! Remember that both series were filmed on the Paramount lot, and both were in production at the same time. Other buildings can seen that are the same on both shows.

If you're in a "Star Trek" episode and you walk past "Floyd's\r Barber Shop" from "The Andy Griffith Show"... that's a nit, I say\r that's a nitpick, son!\r FYI, the RKO backlot used for "Andy" was also used as Metropolis\r and other cities and towns during the first 26 episodes of\r "Adventures of Superman". Now *that's* a factoid, in the flesh.

Where's the nitpick in here? What's your point apart from stating trivia?
