Summary : Son couldn't have seen Elvis
Details : While having drinks at the Peabody Hotel, Vern, the truck driver, tells Julia that his dead son would have been 19 (if he were alive). He then recounts how when his boy was 11 and dying, Elvis came to his hospital room and gave him a souvenir belt buckle. If figured out for this 1988 episode, this means Vern's son was born around 1969. \r\n[p] HOWEVER, Elvis died in 1977- nowhere near the plausibility for Vern's son to have seen him when he was 11 (c. 1980). Even if you allow some leeway for the years, it still remains faulty math on the writer's part, and totally IMPOSSIBLE. This has bothered me for years!
